Post-mortem report of Indian actor Shashant Singh reveals that Bollywood actor was undergoing treatment for depression

MUMBAI: The post-mortem report of 34-year-old Bollywood actor Shashant Singh Rajput, who committed suicide due to depression and loneliness due to lockdown, has come to light at Cooper Hospital in Mumbai. 

 An autopsy report released by the police said that the cause of death of the actor was suffocation. 

 The post-mortem report said that the actor suffocated due to the trap which led to his death.

 At the same time, it was stated that the actor was also tested for corona virus which was negative.

 Some samples were taken from the body and sent for forensic tests, the results of which are yet to come.

 India Today reported that Sashant Singh Rajput's initial post-mortem report stated that suffocation was the cause of his death. The report said that the actor's last rites would be performed on June 15 in Mumbai and his other relatives. 

 The house has reached Mumbai from Bihar state. Sashant Singh Rajput hails from Patna, Bihar. 

He lives alone in Mumbai. He has four sisters, one of whom plays for the Bihar state cricket team. He had committed suicide at his residence in Mumbai.

 Police have not yet received the last letter written by him at his residence

 Sources close to the actor said that he had been suffering from depression and depression for the past few months.

 Police had on a tip-off after inspecting the scene that the actor had committed suicide, however, further investigation was launched. 

Shashant Singh Rajput was arrested in the presence of friends and employees at his flat in Mumbai's luxury West Bandra area. He had committed suicide by locking the door of his room. 

The people in the flat with him had told that Shashant Singh Rajput got up at 10 am on June 14 and after drinking juice went back to his room and locked the door from inside.

 He said that when the actors did not come out till 12 o'clock, they knocked on his door but when the door did not open, they called the police and between 12:30 and 45 minutes, they broke down the door and the actor was trapped. 

 Police found the actor's body in custody and sent it to the hospital for an autopsy, and late at night the hospital administration released the actor's autopsy report.
